Book Carol Van Atta.

Carol Van Atta is a highly imperfect, slightly zany, passionate woman of God. Her transparency, combined with her great sense of humor, and desire to see women grasp the depth God’s inconceivable love, make her presentation style not only warm and heartfelt, but radically life changing.

She has been described by her audience members as:

“The real deal”
“Totally open”
“One of us”
“Kind, compassionate, and real”
“Not just a speaker, but a participant”

She has an amazing “gutter to glory,” or what others might describe as a “tragedy to triumph” testimony that is gently woven through her topics, allowing her listeners to understand the love and grace of God in a very intimate and tangible way. Her topics are not designed for the faint of heart, and she digs deep, avoiding extensive fanfare and fluff. Carol desires for her audiences not simply be entertained, but more importantly, to be challenged to change, embracing all God has available for His Princess Warriors.

She is the founder of Princess Warriors for Christ…Reigning Real –One Step (and a prayer) at a time, and believes every woman of God is a priceless princess and a worthy warrior. She has worked for a number of years in social services, as a women’s Ministry Leader at her home church, and in a drug and alcohol treatment setting as a Vocational Counselor. Currently, she serves as the Ministry Outreach Coordinator and Spokesperson for Bethany House, a Christian organization dedicated to rescuing at-risk, pregnant women, from lives characterized by homelessness, abuse, addiction, and chronic hopelessness. Lives are saved and future generations are profoundly redeemed, renewed, and restored by this powerful, God-ordained ministry.

Carol’s speaking engagements allow her to speak for a variety of audiences and events including – fundraisers, retreats, MOPS Groups, luncheons, banquets, conferences, and workshops. Her desire is to be where God wants her. Whether that means talking with two women or sharing with 2000, expect Carol to demonstrate the same integrity, enthusiasm and joy.
Not only does Carol write for a variety of magazine publications, but her first novel, a spiritual thriller, was recently selected as one of Campus Crusade for Christ’s Christian Women Today’s Top 25 Summer reads for 2005 with the likes of Francine Rivers, Shaunti Feldman, and Ted Dekker. Her story of adoption is featured in Zondervan’s Kisses of Sunshine for Moms, and she has three devotions in a Regal Gospel Light Publication titled: Today is the First Day. She is currently completing her second novel, Conquering the Chaos, a sequel to Slaying the Shadows, and is also writing for another Regal devotional book due out this spring. Her upcoming, non-fiction work, Becoming a Princess Warrior for Christ – Reigning “Real” in a Wicked World is also in development.

Her speaking topics and writing projects allow women to discover who they are in Christ, and how to let go of the sin that so easily entangles. If your group is seeking a dynamic and transparent speaker, who is not afraid to discuss past sins and failures, and how with God’s amazing grace and power, we can become the Princess Warriors we are called to be…you may want Carol to share at your next event. Carol’s messages inspire, ignite, and invite her listeners into a deeper more abiding relationship with Jesus Christ. Be ready to laugh, cry, and expect to draw closer to God and each other.

“Carol Van Atta was our retreat speaker this fall. Our group thoroughly enjoyed her in-depth presentation on godly friendship, which was well researched and provided extremely interesting and thought provoking truths for us to consider. Her message was applicable to daily life and motivated many of our ladies to explore their own relationships and the false masks they had worn to keep others from truly knowing them. After the retreat, I had women approach me to share just how deeply they were impacted by the retreat. Considering at times, we have to ask for feedback, this was a huge indicator that God used Carol’s transparency and uplifting message in a mighty way. I would highly recommend Carol as a qualified and “real” speaker for your next event.”

“We truly were blessed to have you as our retreat speaker, Carol! At our monthly ladies’ meeting held last Sunday night, ladies shared testimonies of what the Holy Spirit did in their lives at the retreat (and what He continues to do). Your ministry was powerful because the Word of God that you shared has resulted in freedom from addictions, deliverance from depression, exposed lies, release of joy and purpose, realigned priorities, and deeper relationship with the Lord for all of the women. Two ladies gave their lives to Jesus and several others were filled with the Holy Spirit! We are so thankful that you allow the Lord to speak truth through you! You should see how different some of the women are now! Here we are four weeks later and they continue to seek after the Lord and grow. Because you are willing yourself to be transparent and humble, women are freed up to confess their struggles and weaknesses. Then because the teaching of the Word is practical, women can apply it to their lives. The proof is in the results we now see! God bless you, Carol, for speaking on topics that many other speakers do not cover. Your humor and warmth make people feel comfortable and ready to receive what you have to share. We loved how you were a participant at our retreat as well as our speaker. Jesus was lifted up and His name glorified the entire weekend!”

“I had the privilege of contacting Carol and asking her to be our guest speaker for our recent retreat, February 2005. From my first e-mail contact, Carol responded quickly and continued to do so during the months of preparation for our retreat. She went out of her way traveling approximately 100 miles to come to our church to teach a Sunday School class three months before our retreat. Her desire was to minister, serve and get to know our ladies. She did that and more. All who attended our retreat were blessed. Carol is a delightful woman of God who speaks the truth in love using humor and seriousness. Carol’s transparent honesty and compassion allowed us to take a look at ourselves. Many ladies were healed and set free. I would highly recommend Carol to speak at your next retreat or ladies’ event.”
